Bled Gravel and MTB Loop over Two Climbs

Almost two thirds of this loop from Bled is unpaved, which makes it a proper day out for gravel and mountain bikers with good legs and a full day to spare. Plan on around five hours in the saddle. The route rolls out through Lesce to Radovljica, and then the real work begins. The main climb is long and sustained, about 8.5 km at an average of 8%, with steeper pitches that touch 21%. Higher up the gradient eases and the track carries on to the high point of the ride, with a gentler stretch of about 6 km along the way. The return brings a long descent and one last short rise before Bled. May to September is the best window. Save some energy for the first climb, because it comes early.
