The Istrski Kolesarski Maraton is the largest recreational cycling event in Slovenian Istria, held in the charming coastal town of Izola. Riders choose from three routes through the unique Istrian landscape of rolling hills, sea views, and traditional villages: a relaxed 10 km flat ride, a 49 km course with 870 metres of climbing, or a demanding 77 km route with over 1,360 metres of elevation gain.

Parenzana Gravel Race

Parenzana Gravel Race is an international gravel and MTB event connecting Croatia and Slovenia along the route of the historic 120-year-old Parenzana narrow-gauge railway. Starting in Poreč (Croatia) and finishing at Kamp Lucija in Portorož, riders choose from three routes: 30 km from Grožnjan, 50 km from Livade, or the full 88 km adventure from Poreč. The course follows gravel and natural surface tracks through the scenic hills and vineyards of Istria, crossing the border into Slovenia for a flat finish along the coast.
